Making agriculture better for everyone
Impello® Biosciences was founded on a simple premise: biostimulants make agriculture better for everyone. Our integrated solutions, ranging from microorganisms to other bioactive compounds, help farmers everywhere increase the quality and yield of every harvest. Impello addresses tough agricultural challenges with next-generation biotechnology to support a better, healthier, and more sustainable planet.
We’re developing solutions that increase profitability and reduce risk from the field to the greenhouse and everywhere in between. With biostimulant technology, we’re reinvigorating soils, plants, farmers, and consumers with a powerful tool: the force of nature.
MEET THE FOUNDER
"Impello was founded with the vision that rhizo bacteria can and should play a much bigger role in seed to harvest"
Prior to co-founding Impello Biosciences, where Michael Key oversees product development, innovation, and implementation, he was the Director of horticultural R&D at Functional Remedies, the first USDA certified organic hemp farm in the United States.
Michael has also been a research assistant in the Center for Rhizosphere Biology at Colorado State University, where he earned his degree in Horticulture.
Microbial Inoculants. Soil Amendments. Organic Nutrients.
Produced mainly by growing host plants in controlled greenhouse conditions, with an inoculant containing different fungal structures from the roots of plants used for propagation.
A soil amendment is any material added to a soil to improve its physical properties. The goal is to provide a better environment for roots. To do its work, an amendment must be thoroughly mixed into the soil.
There are four types of organic nutrients: carbohydrates, proteins, lipids, and vitamins. In this section, we shall be discussing each of these organic nutrients and understand their functions better.
